Unlike common raisins which are viewed as having a ‘one dimensional’, chewy and sugary taste, wine raisins® possess complex flavor profiles, with multiple layers of unique tasting notes that are inherit to each wine grape varietal. Wine Raisins® are crunchy because the wine grape’s seed has been caramelized and toasted inside the fruit. The toasted wine grape seed does not only provide for a delicious and crunchy mouthfeel, but also delivers a healthy dose of heart healthy antioxidants…the same antioxidants found in wine.
