We never thought we’d turn into one of those sites that sells PhDs

I know this guy who’s been my friend since… I dunno, since forever. When we finished high school, he went away to college, while I took a job straight off as a cardboard box tester, which eventually led me to a position here at Woot.

After many, many semesters of hard work at the undergraduate and graduate level, my friend is set to get a PhD this summer. Here’s the weird thing, though. I’m getting one, too!

I mean, sure—his is proof of having mastered a difficult subject over many years of study in some of the country’s most respected academic institutions, while mine’s just a mechanical pencil.
