March is the month when everyone goes crazy for basketball. But we figured, why let basketball players have all the fun? So for those of you who are less athletically inclined and more eat-letically inclined, we’ve set up a March Sandwichness bracket. The winners are in from our second round of Intense and Novelty sandwiches. It was a tough race between the Croque-Madame and the Pepper and Egg, but the Croque-Madame edged it out by just 17 votes- our closest margin yet! We also saw a big surprise when Pulled Pork was able to pull itself ahead of the Reuben, the number 2 seed for the Intense region and (judging by feedback), a crowd favorite. Does the Pulled Pork have what it takes to knock out the Fried Chicken? Could Pulled Pork go all the way to the championship?
Today we vote on the Sweet Sixteen round of our tournament (or the Salty Sixteen, depending on the sandwich). Get ready for Cheeseburger vs. Hamburger, Cookie Ice Cream vs. Thanksgiving, and, of course, the Seafood Showdown! Plus some more matches too!
