PROVIDENCE, R.I. (UPI) -- Some very patient fans of the rock band The Who in Rhode Island have traded in tickets to a canceled 1979 show for tickets to an upcoming Who concert.

As an added bonus, a local pizza place will accept the stub for a free downgrade from a large pie to a small.

TRELLEBORG, Sweden (UPI) -- A man, mowing his lawn near Trelleborg, Sweden, found what police said was a 110-pound artillery shell protruding from the ground.

Artillery experts say a full grown artillery can shed one or two times a year as they grow, and will sometimes even trade their shell for a tin can!

PORTLAND, Ore. (UPI) -- An Oregon woman who has been seen swimming in public pools while dressed as a mermaid said she is living out a childhood fantasy.

Sources in the know say that, ever since a young age, the woman has dreamed of being trespassed from public pools.

NEW YORK (UPI) -- Most American car owners think automakers have gone too far with in-car connectivity technology that is distracting and dangerous, a poll found.

The poll's sample allegedly came from a random pool of drivers equipped with a factory-standard dash-mounted 3-D poll-taking device.
