Why on earth would you buy a whole scanner you'd only use once that will give you low quality scans.
Take your photos to Walgreens already. What a pointless product.
I spend too much money here.

I think woot chose midnight as the time to change products just to give a large portion of the US population sleep deprivation, rather than any economic justification.

That's right, here in Arizona we don't bother with changing our clocks (except for the Navajo reservation.) Why bother, it's like cutting off the top of your blanket and sewing it onto the bottom and saying you have a longer blanket. That's government for you!
And I'd stick with your regular scanner if you have one. I don't own one of these but a friend does and it seems tedious and not very practical.

Re #1, not after this weekend. LOL Then you'll have to wait until 11pm.

I say it's easier to use a traditional scanner and scan a group of photos at once and cut them out as individual images. So if you have a regular scanned don't waste your time. There's more work involved in using this. If you're not tech savvy and don't know how to use photoshop this could be a god send. Not for me (it's just sitting behind my monitor)...
You don't need to know Photoshsop to edit these pictures. Hell many people may not even have a version of Photoshop. I'm assuming you can use Picasa to crop the scan. If you have Office installed (v.2003 or 2007) you can also just use their Picture Manager application.
