my gr-gr-grandad came from Glasgow. My sister and I went 25 years ago. Then I met someone from Glasgow via an online music sharing service about 8 yrs ago, and met him and his wife in person the next summer when they came over for a big drum corps show. Have stayed with them a couple of times I have been over. I just love the country tho - the Highlands, the history, the people. And since I traveled by myself on several occasions, its nice to a)have friends over there and b)be in an English-speaking country.

Absolutely. I'd like to go (the Campbell side of me), but just to go without a specific destination doesn't seem fun. "Okay, here I am in Scotland, now what?"

Well, you could research out your clan and go to that specific area. You could do the touristy area - the castles, Loch Ness, etc. Depends on your interests. The country isn't all that big, so you can cover a lot of ground....hit the high points.

It's ridiculous. The first PWA was over 300 pages, if I remember right. The 100 page thing is an arbitrary guideline, not something set in stone.
