Since some of you just can't talk about football...
This has been one of the weirdest college football seasons ever.
Games are close and people are losing to teams that they shouldn't

Not pretty.
Go 'burgh! Can't say that out loud here in the Cleveland area; people get lynched for that.

There are Steeler fans everywhere.
Hope they can continue the trend.
In the closet is best in this area. They look at me cross-eyed when I wear a piece of Penguins apparel, but they let it slide since the closest NHL team is Columbus. I have been to the stadium for that game in the past and cars with PA plates or Steeler's decals are normally vandalized. The Brown's fans are over the top in their support of the team.
In talking with a friend who is a social worker the other day, she mentioned that the Cleveland police force has to ramp up for domestic violence calls on days when the Browns are projected to lose. It appears that the menfolk like to take out their frustrations on their wives/girl friends.

Where are you from in PA?
the Altoona area. Then State College and Harrisburg before the Akron/Cleveland area.
You sound like you also have an interest in the 'burgh. From the area as well?

I had to google that reference. UC Santa Cruz is the fighting Banana Slugs? I am holding back laughter to keep from waking up the family. What was going through their minds! Never mind...LSD.
Are you being sarcastic, or is their fan base less than pleasant?

but getting back to football, go Panthers! ...and let's not talk about my college teams, except for Oregon...
Ahhh....Yes it does at that. The Ducks had me laughing all day long yesterday.
What would make next Saturday even better would be if Michigan and Notre Dame both lost by some fluke of the universe. Guess that won't happen.

neither defense looked so hot in this game.
